SHAMOKIN DAM — Route 15 was closed for nearly 11 hours on Friday morning after a truck crashed into a utility pole just north of the Route 11/15 split in Snyder County.
The crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. close to the confluence of Routes 11 and 15. The truck sheared off a utility line, leaving low-hanging utility lines. It opened around 1:15 p.m. to allow for emergency response.
Route 15 southbound was closed at the new Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation project bridge, with southbound drivers diverted onto Route 405. Northbound drivers were sent through Northumberland and up Route 405.
