SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Local democrats continue to hold events in support of the Harris-Walz ticket.
Senator Chris Coons of Delaware and local officials are campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz ahead of the November 5 General Election.
The rally comes just days after the Democratic National Convention, where Pennsylvanians saw Vice President Harris outline her New Way Forward Plan where Harris said she would fight for the economy and woman's rights.

"This is the most important election of my lifetime. We're making a fundamental decision about what kind of leaders we want and what kind of country we want to be. Do we want to be a place with a president who fights for the middle class, who understands what Americans are going through, and who is able to make a safer and stronger at home and abroad?" Coons asked.
Harris and Trump are scheduled to debate each other on September 10, but the two sides are still squabbling over the ground rules when it comes to microphones.
