COLUMBIA COUNTY — (WBRE/WYOU) — A plane that was suspected of crashing was found safe in Maryland after going off the radar Monday in central Pennsylvania.
According to the Main Township Volunteer Fire Company, multiple crews from Columbia and Montour counties were called to a possible plane crash around 5:20 p.m. near Mainville Drive in Mainville.

The search continued into the evening hours with the the Montour County drone team called to check the mountain tops. Crews said the drone team was able to launch three drones with night vision and thermal cameras.
Officials stated officers were able to call local airports and learned the plane had come off the radar, returned, and safely landed at an airport in Maryland.
