WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — As the first major winter storm heads to our area, multiple hardware stores are bracing to deal with crowds as they come in to buy shovels, rock salt, and other winter storm supplies.
28/22 News spoke with Brian Kaminski, owner of Main Hardware on South Main Street in Wilkes-Barre, who said sales have been heavy on Wednesday as locals prepare for the snow that we are about to receive.
"Yeah, it's been a really steady day. It's been from the first thing this morning, snow shovels, ice melt, everyone seems to be picking up a bag of either that, that or one or the other," Kaminski said.

"Well, since we have inclement weather coming, and the precipitation is gonna be in the form of snow. We look to get our shovels ready, our rock salt ready, calcium ready because not only do we handle our home, we also have our business that we do snow plowing and removal for," said Sam Salci with Salci Enterprises.
