SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was arrested after police say he threatened to blow up a Turkey Hill in Scranton.
According to the Scranton Police Department, on November 19 officers were called to the Turkey Hill on Providence Raod for a man threatening to "blow up the gas station."
The store manager explained to police that the man, identified as Nathan Reid, was holding a fuel pump in one hand and a lighter in the other, as stated in the affidavit.
Wrong way crash injures two, driver to be cited
Before officers arrived employees said Reid was swinging the gas pump towards them and said if they "get any closer he will blow up the store," according to court documents.
Officers say once employees were able to shut the pump off, they were able to subdue and arrest Reid. He is charged with risking catastrophe, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.
