LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Investigators say a driver will be cited after they and another driver were injured in a wrong-way crash in Lackawanna County.
According to Captain Lukasewicz of the Scranton Police Department, around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, the 911 Center received several calls about a wrong-way driver on Route 11.
The driver was coming through the Notch area on the Scranton/South Abington Township border heading into South Abington Township in the lane that leads into Scranton.

Captain Lukasewicz said once officers arrived on the scene they found two vehicles had crashed head-on and both drivers were transported to hospital for injuries.
Police are unsure of the current conditions of the drivers, however, Captain Lukasewicz stated the driver going the wrong way will be cited.
Roads were shut down for several hours as Scranton and Clarks Summit Police investigated.
