2 charged on multiple charges related to child pornography

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Two men from Pennsylvania have been indicted on multiple charges related to conspiracy to produce child pornography, distribution, and possession of child pornography.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, 39-year-old Kevin Eric Abbott from Scranton and 28-year-old Rashaad Khalid Che Taylor from Milford were charged with multiple charges related to child pornography.

U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam stated that Taylor and Abbott met up and conspired for at least a year and a half to get children to produce child pornography. U.S. Attorney Karam stated both men engaged in enticement and gathering children online.

The release explains both men had possession of child pornography video and image materials.

Abbott is alleged to have distributed child pornography on multiple occasions and Taylor is alleged to have committed these felony offenses while being a registered sex offender for a 2016 felony sex offense, as stated in the release.

The maximum penalty for this offense is life in prison, followed by supervised release and a fine.
