WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A West Pittston man was arrested early Thursday morning on charges accusing him of downloading and uploading child pornography.
Edward Neil Jr., 27, of West Pittston was arrested when members of the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office served a search warrant at his home in the 100 block of Lacoe Street around 6:30 a.m.

The investigation began over the summer when agents say they became aware of someone using an IP address, or internet connection, registered to Neil Jr.'s address downloading multiple pictures and videos of child porn between July and August.
The arresting agent says Neil Jr. agreed to an interview and admitted he had been viewing the explicit material for about one year. He told police he would watch the material for his own gratification before deleting the files from his phone, according to the arrest affidavit.
Neil Jr. is charged with possession and dissemination of child pornography and criminal use of a communication device.
