Sayre man charged on more than 500 sexual crimes involving 17 women

SAYRE, Pa. (WETM) — A Sayre man has been charged with more than 500 sexually related crimes, including 69 counts of rape, after a months-long investigation by police into evidence collected from his Sayre home during a drug-related search warrant in April, according to information from the Bradford County District Attorney's Office.

Sean Hall, 45, of Linden Street in Sayre was charged with 531 counts of various crimes including 69 counts of rape, 47 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, 198 counts of indecent assault, 127 counts of aggravated indecent assault, 18 counts of sexual extortion, 10 counts of strangulation, and six counts of unauthorized administration of an intoxicant.

The charges stem from Hall's involvement with at least 17 different female victims and the alleged events that occurred over several years, the DA's office said.

On April 11, 2024, a search warrant was conducted on Hall's home on Linden Street to find evidence of the possible manufacture, sale, use, and possession of meth. During the search, police said officers found evidence of the making of meth along with Hall's cell phone and a collection of digital storage devices like multiple external hard drives and dozens of micro SD cards, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

A warrant was granted to look into the electronics with police finding Hall engaging in non-consensual sex with a female. Police stopped the video to acquire a second warrant to include sexual offenses in the search.

A further search of Hall's hard drives found that Hall had dozens of folders organized by name with hundreds of videos of him having non-consensual sex with these women. Police found sexual material on not only the hard drives but his phone and the micro SD cards as well.

As police searched through the videos it was noticed that these women were under the influence of some kind of substance. Further investigation claims that Hall would use Ambien, a prescription sedative used to treat insomnia, to drug these women by crushing it up and telling them it was Percocet or another substance, or he would put the drugs in their drinks.

The documents claim Hall would bind these women up with fabrics and sometimes chains before raping them and recording the incidents from several different angles. Hall would keep them away from their phones and threaten them with numerous things to keep them from escaping.

When police searched Hall's phone they found two Facebook accounts they claim Hall was using to lure in and meet up with these women. The documents said Hall reached out to more than 500 women in ten months with one of the fake accounts and 400 women on the other account.

Police said Hall would search Facebook and look for women who were vulnerable and were looking for something he could provide for them, whether it be a place to stay, money, drugs, clothes, or even a shoulder to cry on, the documents said.

On top of these women, Hall would hire escorts through online websites with police saying he intended to rape them. Hall would meet these women and have consensual sex with them before quickly turning into rape. Hall would threaten to not pay these women if they didn't comply with his demands, along with other tactics he performed on his other victims.

The assaults would not stop at the rape as police said Hall would harass and threaten his victims through the phone. Documents said that even after the victims would block Hall's number, he would create dozens of more fake phone numbers to continue contacting the victims.

In August, the Bradford County Drug Task Force applied for another search warrant for Hall's Linden Street home to look for evidence related to these crimes. Documents state that when police searched the home again, numerous items seen on the recordings were taken from the home as evidence.

Hall was arrested and presented with the charges on Friday, Nov. 22, and was denied bail. Hall is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 3. Hall was previously arrested on 66 felony drug charges relating to the April 11, raid on his home.
