HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police report a man was arrested after two men were left injured during a stabbing in Luzerne County Thursday.
On Thursday, November 21, around 4:00 am, officers saw a car travel through a red light at the intersection of Broad Street and Church Street in Hazleton.
When officers pulled over the car they saw the driver was bleeding heavily from his face. The victim claimed he had just been assaulted at Flow-X on West Broad Street, police stated. While police were at the hospital, they said a second stabbing victim arrived.

Through further investigation, detectives learned both victims and 24-year-old Jose Santomas Baez were at Flow-x when Santomas Baez became "enraged."
According to the Hazleton City Police Department, this caused a fight to happen leading to Santomas Baez stabbing the first victim, and the second victim was stabbed in the face and neck area when he tried to stop Santomas Baez.
Officers say one of the victims needed to be taken to higher-level trauma hospitals and their condition is unknown at this time.
Santomas Baez has been charged with the following crimes;
Aggravated assault with extreme indifference
Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
Simple assault
Recklessly endangering
Terroristic threats
Santomas Baez was taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
