NORTH MANHEIM, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Crews were called to a fatal crash just before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on Gordon Trail Road in North Manheim.
Officials say the crash was fatal but could not give 28/22 News any further details.

LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The teen accused of killing 17-year-old Kassadey Matulevich back in 2022 was sentenced to years in prison.
Alan Meyers was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for shooting and killing Matulevich in Luzerne County.
Meyers pled guilty in court Tuesday to third-degree murder.

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A school bus stop switch sparks safety concerns with parents in one local school district and causes change.
Before Monday's start to the school year, Hanover Area School District parents whose kids use the longtime bus stop at Ridge and Newport Streets were notified that the stop would be changed to nearby Hazel and Newport streets.
Parents stepped up, expressing concerns for their children's safety, as the new stop meant the students had to cross Hazel Street, an area with a high volume of two-way traffic.
