HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - Law enforcement is at the scene of an incident at the Sylvia H. Rambo U.S. Courthouse on Monday morning on N. 6th Street.
The Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and local police are on the scene where the courthouse is roped off with evidence markers placed around the area.
Dozens of evidence markers could be seen inside the building.
The Sylvia H. Rambo U.S. Courthouse officially opened in April 2023 with eight courtrooms and offices for the United States Court of Appeals Third Court, the United States Marshal Service, the Department of Homeland Security, and more. Plans to name the courthouse after Rambo, the first female judge in Cumberland County, were announced in 2022
The courthouse is named after longtime judge Sylvia Rambo, a senior judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Judge Rambo retired in August 2024 after serving the Middle District of Pennsylvania since 1979 after being appointed by President Jimmy Carter.
