Target retail theft arrest leads to drugs seized

WILKES-BARRE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman was arrested after police say she was stealing over $100 worth of items from Target and was later found with drugs.

Wilkes-Barre Township Police say they arrested Candis Lazovich, 35, of Plymouth on February 1 after Target Loss Prevention caught her concealing and under-ringing items at self-checkout worth $143.95.

Following her arrest she was found to have $3,600 in cash and possession of multiple controlled substances, officers reported.

According to police, Lazovich had two prior convictions for retail theft making this offense a felony.

Lazovich was taken to Luzerne County Correctional Facility on a $5,000 bail. She has been charged with retail theft and drug possession offenses.
