(WHTM) - Penn State women's hockey is adding eight new players to its roster for the 2025-26 season.
The class is comprised of seven freshmen signees and one graduate transfer, with St. Lawrence transfer forward Taylor Lum. The Nittany Lions welcomed goalies Madison Campbell and Lauren Hernick; three forwards in Lum, Matilde Fantin, and Mikah Keller; and defenders Danica Maynard, Sophie Morrow, and Shelby Shane.
“We are elated to welcome eight elite women to Penn State. Collectively, they will thrive in our culture,” said head coach Jeff Kampersal. “They have a team full of role-models to help shape each of their journeys and we are eager to get skating at the end of August.”
Penn State is coming off back-to-back Atlantic Hockey America regular season and tournament championships after finishing 31-6-1 and 19-1 in conference. They ultimately fell to St. Lawrence 4-1 in the NCAA Regional Semifinals and will open the season against the Saints at home on September 25.
