Bridge Replacement on Green Creek Road Begins Monday

On Monday, June 27, a PennDOT bridge crew in Columbia County will begin a bridge replacement project on T-715 (Green Creek Road) in Jackson Township.

The existing 23 foot-long T-beam bridge, which spans Green Creek, was built in 1934. It will be replaced by a precast box culvert.

Green Creek Road will be closed between T-614 (Youngs Hill Road) and T-616 (Twin Pond Road). A detour will be in effect using Route 4030 (Derrs Road),

Route 4039 (Austin Trail), T-710 (Greasyville Hollow Road), and T-725 (Mendenhall Hill Road).

This project is expected to last about two months, weather permitting.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 770 traffic cameras.
