Gov. Shapiro names new leader of PA State Police ahead of Commissioner Paris' retirement

Lt. Col. George Bivens is set to lead Pennsylvania State Police as Acting Commissioner, succeeding Col. Christopher Paris, who will retire on Jan. 2, 2026.
