Felony child endangerment charge...

LEWISBURG — A Lewisburg woman accused of leaving her sleeping child in a vehicle in December had one felony count withdrawn on Thursday.Following a preliminary hearing for Qing Jiang, 41, of Walnut Road, Lewisburg, on Thursday, Lewisburg District Judge Jeffrey Rowe withdrew a felony count of endangering the welfare of a child. A misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person; and a summary account of leaving an unattended child in a motor vehicle were bound to Union County Court.Jiang is scheduled for a formal arraignment at 8:30 a.m. May 5 in front of Union County Judge Michael Piecuch. The changes were filed by Bucknell Public Safety Officer Jaivin Shively.Jiang is accused of leaving her 5-year-old daughter sleeping in the carseat in the back seat of a black Audi on Dec. 4 in a Bucknell parking lot in East Buffalo Township. Jiang was found attending a concert at the Sigfried Weis Music Building, police said.— JUSTIN STRAWSER
