LEWISBURG — A registered nurse who allegedly failed to report and find medical attention for her 1-year-old girl who ingested marijuana is headed to trial in June.A jury was selected on Monday in the Union County Court Courthouse for the case against Danita Robinson, 37, of Logan Avenue, Lewisburg. The trial is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 26 in front of Union County Judge Michael Piecuch.Robinson is accused of not seeking the proper medical attention for her daughter who ingested marijuana four times. Robinson, a mandated reporter, is charged with three felonies: two counts of failure to report child abuse and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. She also faces a misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person.The child had ingested marijuana or THC at least four times, according to court documents. Union County Children and Youth, on April 16, submitted a referral to police about the incident and police reviewed a video of the child sitting on a bed with bloodshot eyes and her head falling back, as well as a text message from the child’s father, Jeffrey Hall, to a family member that the girl was high, police said.Robinson told police she was aware of the incidents, but the girl was never taken to the hospital, and Robinson did not report the incidents, police said.Dr. Paul Bellino, of the Children’s Advocacy Center in Sunbury, told police that too much use of marijuana by children can cause intoxication and could lead to troubled breathing or even a coma. The ingestion of marijuana put the girl in substantial risk of serious bodily injury, police said.Hall, 55, is also charged with a felony count of endangering the welfare of a child and a misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person. His case is still pending.Bail was set for both Robinson and Hall at $10,000 unsecured.Robinson is represented by attorney Andrea Pulizz, of Jersey Shore. Hall is represented by attorney Michael C. Morrone, of Williamsport.
