LEWISBURG — Students from Company C of Bucknell University’s Management 101 course have chosen to partner with the DIG Furniture Bank of Milton, a local nonprofit organization that “restores dignity and promotes stability by redirecting gently used furniture and household items to local families in need at no cost.”To support the DIG community, students created Cultivating DIGnity. The group will move tools and equipment to the new repair room, inventory supplies and identify needed tools and equipment, and create a new space for donation drop-offs. They will also host a home essentials drive, collecting everyday essentials that local families can’t always afford.“Furniture is DIGnity you can sit on,” Evan Sorensen, Cultivating DIGnity’s CEO, said. This work advances DIG Furniture Bank’s mission to restore dignity and promote stability by redirecting gently used items to families at no cost. DIG operates with the idea of Wasting Less and Giving More, and envisions a community where everyone has enough to create a home, build a future, and thrive with dignity. DIG believes that a furnished home lays the foundation for stability, confidence and lasting change.Cultivating DIGnity will host a fundraising event at the Campus Theatre at 1 p.m. Nov. 16.
