LEWISBURG — A second reassessment public meeting will be held Wednesday night at the Union County Government Center.Tyler Technologies, of Texas, will host the meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. at the government center, 155 N. 15th St., Lewisburg. The goal is to present information and answer questions about the county’s first reassessment since 2006.The county contracted with Tyler Technologies at $1,376,564 through Nov. 15, 2027, to conduct a reassessment of 17,647 parcels, including 1,100 commercial and more than 16,500 residential and agricultural parcels. Tyler Technologies is also contracted with Northumberland County for its reassessment project, approved in late 2024.Data collectors are already conducting in-field activities in Gregg Township. White Deer Township, Kelly Township, Lewisburg, East Buffalo Township and Union Township will be targeted in winter; Buffalo Township, New Berlin, Limestone Township and Mifflinburg in spring; West Buffalo Township, Lewis Township and Hartleton in summer; and Hartley Township in late summer or fall 2026.The new property values will be implemented for the 2028 tax year.— JUSTIN STRAWSER
