SUNBURY — While cleaning out a safe at the Sunbury Steam Fire Engine Company No. 1 last year, Company President Wes Stephens discovered a set of letters revealing that the fire company once owned a historic cannon, a pre-Revolutionary weapon that residents of several Susquehanna Valley towns spent nearly a century stealing from one another.
