Saturday’s public auction for D.J. Ernst Books marked the end of an era for a longtime Selinsgrove institution, drawing crowds to the Freeburg Community Center to celebrate the bookstore’s 50-year legacy and disperse its vast collection of unsold books, photographs and local history.
