HARRISBURG — A Democrat-sponsored bill mirroring Gov. Josh Shapiro’s $53.2 billion budget request advanced through the Pennsylvania House of Representatives more than two months ahead of the deadline for a settled deal, sending the measure to the Republican-controlled state Senate, whose leadership said, “much work remains to reach a final agreement.”
