The terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, changed America, especially in the country’s approach to national security, its standing in the world and the nature of the threats America faces, according to Andrea Lopez, a professor of political science at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, and David Mitchell, a professor of political science and international relations at Bucknell University in Lewisburg.
