PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro publicly issued a series of challenges Thursday toward the safe and responsible development of artificial intelligence, calling on President Donald Trump and the Republican-majority Congress to work in concert with leaders of technology companies and the international community, specifically China, a country he described as an adversary but one with mutual interests in AI.
