MIDDLEBURG — Seventeen-year-old Midd-West High School student Maesyn Franquet spoke in federal court Monday as a former U.S. Penitentiary Allenwood inmate was sentenced to 50 years for an assault that cost her father an eye and injured a second correctional officer in December 2020.
