Scranton City Hall to close due to weather

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — In anticipation of winter weather and snowfall, Scranton City Hall and Weston Field will be closed on Tuesday, February 13.

The City of Scranton will be issuing a parking ban for the downtown area beginning at midnight on Tuesday and will remain throughout the day, to allow the Department of Public Works to plow the streets quickly and completely.

No cars should be parked in street parking spaces from Mifflin Avenue to Jefferson Avenue and Lackawanna Avenue to Mulberry Street. GrowAmerica will be offering discounted parking garage rates during snow emergencies at $6.00 per day.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has indicated a Winter Storm Warning for Monday evening continuing into Tuesday morning.
