PSP: Woman has arm amputated after dog attack in Wayne County

LEHIGH TWP., WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are investigating an incident where several dogs attacked two people, resulting in a woman having to have part of her arm amputated.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on February 12, troopers responded to Iroquois Path in Lehigh Township, Wayne County for a dog attack report.

Police say multiple dogs were found in the roadway and a woman was severely injured.

Both victims sustained injuries, with one being treated and discharged, while the woman required a partial arm amputation.

"My daughter, she was attacked by Pitbulls. She still has a breathing tube down her throat. She did lose her arm and they’re going to do a skin graph on her ear," stated the victim's mother Ann Capone.

Through further investigation troopers said Lori Mulvey, who had previously rented the property, had been evicted but left her dogs behind until she secured alternative accommodation.

"She came up to see my neighbor's friend. They were dating and she was on her way home and these dogs attacked her and I got I can’t believe what happened I really can’t," expressed Gary Sztybel.

"I’m getting in the car door and a pack of dogs come flying down from the house and she’s blowing on the horn and trying to keep them off of me they continue to come charging me," stated Loretta Foster.

State police noted charges are pending at this time against Mulvey.
