SUGARLOAF TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police were seen actively investigating a shooting at a neighborhood in Luzerne County Tuesday.
Police were seen at a home on Rock Hill Road in Sugarloaf investigating an incident around 11:00 a..m. Before arriving on the scene, police said shots were fired outside of the home.
A man, later identified as Stephen Danko, 53, was taken into custody for the shooting and several weapons were seized, including handguns and rifles.
Remains found in Luzerne County identified as woman missing for 30 years
Investigators stated no one was injured in the shooting.
Danko has been charged with the following;
Terroristic threats
Simple assault
Reckless endangerment
Possession of drug paraphernalia
A second person was taken into custody for an unrelated theft charge out of Schuylkill County.
