Mothers of murdered teens protest outside court

NEW PHILADELPHIA, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The family and friends of two murdered teens in Schuylkill County are demanding justice for their deaths.

This comes on the same day that a man, who police say was at the scene of the murders had a court hearing for an unrelated case.

Lamour Branch had a hearing Friday in district court in Orwigburg to face burglary charges in connection with a case that is unrelated to the murders of 16-year-old Angelito Caraballo and 18-year-old Hunter Mock, more on that hearing in a moment.

"I think I've been very patient this whole entire time and I just can't do it anymore. There are still no answers they just keep saying to give them time and I feel like I gave them enough time," said Tanya Evans, Angelito Caraballo's mother.

The district judge in Orwigsburg found there was enough evidence to send Branch to trial on burglary charges again, Branch has not been charged in connection with the murders.

The state police say they can't comment on the investigation. Only to say that it is moving forward. You can see all of our reports on this double murder investigation on the I-Team page.
