Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA fundraising gala

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA held its inaugural fundraising gala Saturday night.

"Fire and Ice" was the theme in the great hall at the Westmoreland Club.

Lots of flames and ice filled the space full of advocates for the cancer center formerly known as Candy's Place.

Through the generosity of the community, the organization was able to raise more than $200,000 at the singular event.
