Wild weather expected across Pennsylvania

EYEWITNESS WEATHER (WBRE/WYOU) — A power storm system will take Pennsylvania on a wild weather ride through Thursday morning.

We can expect scattered showers Tuesday night into Wednesday. At times, the rain will be heavy, and the best chance for a severe thunderstorm is Wednesday afternoon.

Weather Alerts

The main threat is damaging winds. Rain will end by Wednesday evening. As it gets colder Wednesday night, a few snow showers are possible. Wind Advisories are in effect for Wednesday and Wednesday night with gusts of 40-55 MPH are possible.

When wind gusts are this strong, they can cause power outages and minor damage.

Finally, a drop in temperatures will take us from spring-like weather and return us to winter. By Thursday morning, it will be in the 20s.

Be careful Wednesday night and Thursday morning because a few slippery spots will be possible with the significant drop in temperatures.

Thursday afternoon will be sunnier, windy, and cold. Highs will be in the middle and upper 30s.
