Drug arrest results in 29 fentanyl pills seized

BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was arrested after police say he was found with 29 pills of fentanyl and various other drug items.

According to the Bloomsburg Police Department, on November 19 around 1:47 p.m., officers conducted a "mere encounter" on a driver at the Unity Mart in the 300 block of East Seventh Street.

Upon further investigation, police stated the driver, Shawn Spink, had two warrants out of Monroe and Schuylkill counties.

Spink was arrested and found to have 29 blue pills, a bag containing a white powdery substance, and various items of drug paraphernalia. The Wyoming Regional Laboratory said the drugs tested positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Charges have been filed on Spink for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
