Bloomsburg man accused of breaking three-months-old's bones

BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Police say a Bloomsburg man broke an infant's bones and claimed to investigators that he had an addiction to "cracking body parts."

Police arrested 21-year-old Christopher Nebroski, from Bloomsburg, on March 8 in connection to a child abuse investigation from the previous year.

On August 18, 2023, officials received a report related to bruising on the head and abdomen of a three-month-old child.

Investigators spoke with doctors who determined that the child had sustained several fractures including a rib fracture, a leg fracture, a growth plate lesion, and a left wrist fracture. Doctors told police the child could not have sustained the injuries on their own.

The release from the Bloomsburg Police Department states, "Nebroski admitted to having an addiction to 'cracking body parts' and has been cracking the child's back daily although he does not have any medical or specialized training to do this."

Nebroski is charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, and recklessly endangering another person.

Nebroski is being held in the Columbia County Prison on a $35,000 monetary bail. Nebroski's next court date is March 13.
