Flood Watch, snow in PA Wednesday and Thursday

EYEWITNESS WEATHER (WBRE/WYOU) — A Flood Watch remains in effect with a chance of light snow for all of northeastern and central Pennsylvania through Thursday.

Periods of steady and heavy rain continue to push across the area Wednesday. While a thunderstorm can't be ruled out, it will be windy with highs in the mid-40s.

Watch for flooding on roadways and in areas of poor drainage. Any steady rain this evening will taper to rain and snow showers overnight.

Weather Alerts

The best chance for any minor snow accumulation will be in the Northern Tier and Poconos, where a coating to an inch or two is possible.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers missed in with a few snow showers. Any shower may produce a brief downpour along with a rumble of thunder. Friday will have rain and snow showers, along with breezy conditions.

For this weekend a lingering rain or snow shower is possible on Saturday with temperatures in the upper 40s. It will be breezy, too! If you have outdoor plans, Sunday looks to be the nicer day of the weekend.
