Rain and more rain expected in PA

EYEWITNESS WEATHER (WBRE/WYOU) — A complex storm system will push into the region Thursday and showers will linger for the rest of the week.

On Thursday showers will begin in the morning, followed by a steadier rain by the afternoon and evening. Some of this rain has the potential to be heavy. A thunderstorm is possible, but most of us won't get one.

On the backside of the storm system, it will be windy with scattered showers for Friday. Steady rain will end early Friday morning. By then, rainfall amounts will average between one-half and one inch with isolated higher amounts.

A few showers linger into Saturday, otherwise mostly cloudy and windy. On Sunday, another wave of low pressure dives into Pennsylvania with additional showers.

We may start to dry out by Monday and Tuesday of early next week. Highs will be in the upper 60s.
