AVP offering nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach

AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport announced Wednesday morning a new summer seasonal flight service.

Starting on June 20 Breeze Airways will offer nonstop one-way flights to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Thursdays and Sundays.

“Team AVP has looked forward to the return of non-stop service to Myrtle Beach and we’re glad that Breeze Airways will provide that service to Northeastern Pennsylvania and our area travelers,” stated Carl R. Beardsley, Jr., AVP Executive Director.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International to offer direct flights to Orlando

Fares will start at $49 one way if purchased by April 30, for travel by January 7, 2025.

Breeze doesn’t charge change or cancellation fees up to 15 minutes before departure and offers other benefits such as free family seating and a la carte pricing.
