WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say they have arrested one man for allegedly stashing a firearm in a public area to avoid detection.
Officials said that during the week of April 15, 2024 investigators were made aware that 46-year-old Jamie Ide from Exeter was stashing a gun in a public area to avoid being found.
Driver arrested, meth and various drugs seized
Investigators explained when they spoke with Ide he provided details about the situation.
Officers say, they located and seized a .22 handgun from a home in West Pittston.
According to the Wyoming Area Regional Police they located Ide on April 25 and was arranged by Judge Carmody with bail set at $5,000.00.
Ide preliminary hearing is set for May 7, 2024.
