Thousands without power across Pennsylvania amid thunderstorms

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Tens of thousands across Pennsylvania have lost power as thunderstorms pass through the Keystone State, according to officials.

At the height of the outages, PPL says over 48,000 customers were reported to have lost power in our viewing area.

As of 10:30 p.m., that number has come down to only less than 44,000 experiencing loss of power.

Of that number, more than 16,000 in Lehigh County lost power.
