SCOTT TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A former officer with the Tamaqua Police Department will head to trial after being suspected of having unlawful contact with minors.
29-year-old Officer Christopher Cordes of Bloomsburg was arrested back in May on 21 charges including child pornography and unlawful contact with a minor.
PD: Man caught plotting murder for hire scheme in Luzerne County
The investigation into cordes began in 2023 with suspicious cellphone activity.
A court date has not been set.
