16-year-old pled guilty to charges for Dunmore shooting

DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A 16-year-old boy has pled guilty to the charges brought against him after a shooting in Dunmore that injured two.

In November of 2023, 28/22 News reported that 16-year-old Angelo Morales was involved in a shooting that took place near Penn State Scranton at the Chestnut Apartment building that left two 18-year-olds with life-threatening injuries.

Body found in Luzerne County ruled homicide

The Lackawanna District Attorney's Office announced that Morales has pled guilty to aggravated assault for both victims and carrying firearms with a license.

Officials note Morales faces a maximum of 27 years in prison and a $35,000 fine.
