LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The teen accused of killing 17-year-old Kassadey Matulevich back in 2022 was sentenced to years in prison.
Alan Meyers was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for shooting and killing Matulevich in Luzerne County.
Meyers pled guilty in court Tuesday to third-degree murder.

In August of 2022, crews were called to Sand Hollow Road in Bulter Township for a victim with a gunshot wound.
Matulevich was a cheerleader at Hazleton Area High School and was about to start her senior year.
