SHAMOKIN, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are charging a man after they say he had unlawful contact with an underage girl.
According to the Shamokin Police Department, 53-year-old George Sitar is being accused of touching the girl between April and August of 2024.

The victim told police that Sitar would allegedly have the victim sleep in his bed, and touch her multiple times, even when she told him to stop. Sitar also told the victim to not tell anyone about the incidents, police stated.
Sitar was arrested at his home and he denied all accusations while being interviewed by officers. Sitar was taken to the Northumberland County Jail on a $10,000 bail.
