Body of NJ man recovered after drowning in Delaware Water Gap

BUSHKILL, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials say a New Jersey man died after drowning in the Delaware Water Gap Monday afternoon.

According to the National Park Service, around 1:45 p.m. Monday, rangers and dive team members from the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area were called for a drowning at Bushkill Access.

Driver dies after crashing into basement of home

At 3:00 p.m. crews say they recovered the body of a 39-year-old man from Lakewood, New Jersey about 20-30 feet from the shore in around 7 feet of water.

The victim has not been identified.
