WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The heavy rain that came through Pennsylvania caused flooding in Luzerne County and officials got multiple calls involving flooding in parts of Wilkes-Barre.
Flood waters have washed out the Schiel's Market on Hanover Street just before closing Thursday night.
Market employees, DPW crews, and volunteers were all busy cleaning up the mess inside and outside the store.
They've been mopping and shoveling water outside of the market for the last several hours.

Volunteers tell 28/22 News there was at least six inches of water inside.
DPW crews have vac systems sucking out debris and water from inside.
Wilkes-Barre City fire crews and Mayor George Brown have all been on scene.
28/22 News has yet to talk with any store employees and officials but progress has been made and the amount of people coming together to help with the cleanup has played a large role in that, but this cleanup is nowhere near finished.
Schiel's Family Market posted on social media that the store is closed until further notice and customers can utilize their George Avenue location.
