SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A teen is being charged after he allegedly stabbed another man during an argument in Scranton.
According to the Scranton Police Department, on Friday morning officers were called to a reported stabbing in the 800 block of Hickory Street.
The suspect later identified as Nymere Canada, 19, fled the scene and after a short foot chase officers were able to arrest him.

Through further investigation, police learned that Canada and another man argued about missing items the man accused Canada of taking.
As stated in the affidavit, Canada hid a knife behind his back after the man threatened to punch him. After the man punched Canada, he stabbed the man twice in the shoulder, apologized, and fled the scene, officers stated.
Canada was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault with a weapon, and other related offenses.
