NANTICOKE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Court documents have been released regarding a shooting in Nanticoke where a 17-year-old was killed.
According to the search warrant, on Sunday, September 1 around 4:42 p.m., officers were called to Minden Court in Nanticoke for a gunshot victim.
Police stated once on the scene they found an 18-year-old man sitting on the steps of the house, holding the 17-year-old gunshot victim, in his arms.
Investigators stated the 18-year-old and the victim were "wrestling" when they fell into a wooden cabinet causing a gun to fall onto the living room floor, striking the victim.
However, later the 18-year-old admitted that he was fooling around with a gun when it discharged and hit the victim, the search warrant states.
Court documents reported that officers seized the clothing worn by the 18-year-old, suspected firearms used, shell casings, and any forensic evidence found on the scene.

The victim was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Hospital for a gunshot wound to the left side of his upper chest near his shoulder.
The Nanticoke Chief of Police confirmed with 28/22 News that the victim died Sunday night and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
A police investigation revealed the weapon was a semi-automatic pistol.
Authorities requested a search warrant to take Crawn's clothes for testing.
Police have not stated if an arrest has been made in the shooting.
