WEATHERLY, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a traffic stop led to several bags of meth seized and a driver facing various charges.
According to the Weatherly Police Department, on September 3 officers pulled over a car with an expired registration.
Officers said the driver, Michael Lyons, 41, of McAdoo, was driving with a DUI-suspended license and he allegedly showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

After further investigation, several bags of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia were found, which Lyons said he bought before being stopped by police.
Lyons was arrested and charged with the following offenses;
Possession of controlled substances
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Intentional possession of controlled substances
Driving unregistered vehicle
Operation of vehicle with a suspended license
Driving without license
Lyons was released after receiving an unsecured bail of $10,000.
