BENTON TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The fifth annual Fleetville Fall Fair kicked off Saturday at the Fleetville Volunteer Fire Department.
The fair featured over one hundred vendors, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and even live music. None of this would be possible without the over 150 volunteers from both the fire department and our local community.
One volunteer told 28/22 News the event is vital in bringing the small community together every year.

"It's a small community so a lot of faces you see a lot of times during the year but then there are some people that you just don't end up seeing until this time for the event, so it's a big way to bring people together," says Keith Hickox a firefighter and fair volunteer.
The money raised by the event accounts for one-third of the fire department's funding and shows no signs of slowing down year after year.
