HUNLOCK CREEK, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Hundreds of motorcyclists came out Sunday to support a cause in Luzerne County.
More than 250 bikers took part in a fundraising bike ride and benefit at Pisano Family Winery in Hunlock Creek.
It featured more than 200 basket raffles, food and beverages, and a merchandise stand for the Wilkes-Barre business, Execution Cycles.
The business co-owners, John JD Daley and Tina Latona, were injured last month in a serious motorcycle crash.
Daley lost a leg and remains hospitalized. Latona was able to attend even though she was still recovering.
"With this traumatic experience that both me and John have experienced, they all came together for us. It's absolutely amazing," said Latona.
Runners, walkers gathered at Geisinger Marworth Recovery Fun Run
"Tina and JD are so loved and they give from their hearts. So we want to give from our hearts to them," said Event Organizer Marcia Roney.
All proceeds will be used to help with medical expenses for the wilkes-barre business owners on the mend.
